Liberty Temple Chicago is excited to announce our 1st Quarter 21-Day Corporate Fast, beginning January 1, 2025, and ending January 21, 2025. This sacred time of fasting and prayer is a beautiful opportunity to seek spiritual renewal, guidance, and blessings as we step into the new year together. 
During these 21 days, we are committing to:

• Fasting for 21 days 
• Praying on the prayer lines for 21 minutes daily
• Giving $21 in worship 

Fast. Pray. Give. 
As part of this fast, we are encouraging everyone to give $21 per day or $21 per week ($3 per day). This small sacrifice, equivalent to a typical lunch, becomes an act of worship as we honor God during this transformative season. 
We invite you to join us in dedicating this time to spiritual growth and aligning with God’s will for our lives and our church. Let’s fast, pray, and give as we prepare for the blessings of 2025! 

January 1 - January 21, 2025
Daily Fasting Hours: 6:00 AM to 4:00 PM 

•  Scripture: Jonah 3:5 - So the people of Nineveh believed God, and proclaimed a fast, and put on sackcloth, from the greatest of them even to the least of them. 
•  Meals: During the fast, we are avoiding beef, pork, desserts, breads, fried foods and soda pop.
•  Special Considerations: Individuals with medical conditions or dietary needs should consult with a healthcare professional before participating and adjust the fast accordingly. Those who are small in weight should also eat properly to avoid physical problems.
  

Day 1: Repentance and Cleansing
Prayer Focus: Seek God’s forgiveness for sins and ask Him to cleanse heart, mind, and spirit. Pray for humility, a broken and contrite heart, and the grace to walk in holiness.
Scriptures:

• Psalm 51:10: "Create in me a pure heart, O God, and renew a steadfast spirit within me."
• 1 John 1:9: "If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness."

Day 2: Seeking God's Presence
Prayer Focus: Pray for a deep longing to know God intimately and to experience His presence in your daily life. Ask God to make His presence tangible in your home, church, and community.
Scriptures:

• Psalm 42:1-2: "As the deer pants for streams of water, so my soul pants for you, my God. My soul thirsts for God, for the living God. When can I go and meet with God?"
• Jeremiah 29:13: "You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart."

Day 3: Renewal of the Mind
Prayer Focus: Pray for the transformation and renewal of our minds to align with God’s truth.
Scriptures:

• Romans 12:2: "Do not conform to the pattern of this world but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God's will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will."
• Ephesians 4:23-24: "To be made new in the attitude of your minds; and to put on the new self, created to be like God in true righteousness and holiness."

Day 4: Spiritual Growth and Maturity
Prayer Focus: Seek personal revival and a deeper connection with God. Pray for the Holy Spirit to refresh and renew our hearts, minds, and spirits.
Scriptures:

• 2 Peter 3:18: "But grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. To him be glory both now and forever! Amen."
• Ephesians 4:15: "Instead, speaking the truth in love, we will grow to become in every respect the mature body of him who is the head, that is, Christ."

Day 5: Empowerment by the Holy Spirit
Prayer Focus: Pray for a deeper awareness of the Holy Spirit's presence, activation of spiritual gifts, and strength to walk in obedience.
Scriptures:

• Acts 1:8: "But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth."
• Ephesians 3:16: "I pray that out of his glorious riches he may strengthen you with power through his Spirit in your inner being."

Day 6: Guidance and Wisdom
Prayer Focus: Pray for clarity and insight in decision-making processes. 4 
Scriptures:

• Proverbs 3:5-6: "Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight." 
• James 1:5: "If any of you lacks wisdom, you should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to you." 

Day 7: Prayers for Restoration and Revival
Prayer Focus: Pray for personal and corporate restoration in every area of life—spiritual, emotional, physical, and relational. Intercede for a fresh outpouring of God’s Spirit to revive the church and bring renewal to the community. 
Scriptures:

• Psalm 85:6: "Will you not revive us again, that your people may rejoice in you?" 
• Isaiah 40:31: "But those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary; they will walk and not be faint." 

Day 8: Family and Relationships 
Prayer Focus: Pray for harmony, love, and understanding within families. Ask for reconciliation and protection over family members. 
Scriptures:

• Joshua 24:15: "But as for me and my household, we will serve the Lord." 
• Colossians 3:13: "Bear with each other and forgive one another if any of you has a grievance against someone. Forgive as the Lord forgave you."

Day 9: Health and Healing
Prayer Focus: Pray for physical, emotional, and mental healing for individuals within the church and community. 
Scriptures:

• Isaiah 53:5: "But he was pierced for our transgressions, he was crushed for our iniquities; the punishment that brought us peace was on him, and by his wounds we are healed." 
• Jeremiah 30:17: "But I will restore you to health and heal your wounds,’ declares the Lord." 

Day 10: Financial Provision and LT Chicago Businesses
Prayer Focus: Pray for job opportunities, business growth, and economic prosperity among church members. Intercede for the prosperity, integrity, and kingdom impact of businesses owned by members of Liberty Temple. Pray for creative ideas, opportunities, and favor in the marketplace. 
Scriptures:

• Philippians 4:19: "And my God will meet all your needs according to the riches of his glory in Christ Jesus." 
• Malachi 3:10: "Bring the whole tithe into the storehouse, that there may be food in my house. Test me in this," says the Lord Almighty, "and see if I will not throw open the floodgates of heaven and pour out so much blessing that there will not be room enough to store it."
• Deuteronomy 8:18: "But remember the Lord your God, for it is he who gives you the ability to produce wealth, and so confirms his covenant, which he swore to your ancestors, as it is today."

Day 11: Missions and Evangelism
Prayer Focus: Pray for boldness and guidance in sharing the Gospel locally and globally. Intercede for missionaries and outreach efforts. 
Scriptures:

• Matthew 28:19-20: "Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age." 
• Acts 1:8: "But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth." 

Day 12: Prayer for Students' Success and Spiritual Growth
Prayer Focus: Pray for students, from early development to university, to excel academically, grow spiritually, and remain focused and disciplined. Ask for God’s wisdom, protection, and favor over their lives, as well as strength to overcome challenges, build godly relationships, and discover their purpose in alignment with His will.
Scriptures:

• James 1:5: "If any of you lacks wisdom, you should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to you." 
• Jeremiah 29:11: "For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future." 

Day 13: Spiritual Gifts
Prayer Focus: Pray for the activation and proper use of spiritual gifts within the church. 
Scriptures:

• 1 Corinthians 12:4-6: "There are different kinds of gifts, but the same Spirit distributes them. There are different kinds of service, but the same Lord. There are different kinds of working, but in all of them and in everyone it is the same God at work." 
• 1 Peter 4:10: "Each of you should use whatever gift you have received to serve others, as faithful stewards of God’s grace in its various forms." 

Day 14: Overcoming Addictions
Prayer Focus: Pray for freedom and healing for individuals battling addictions of any kind. 6 
Scriptures:

• Galatians 5:1: "It is for freedom that Christ has set us free. Stand firm, then, and do not let yourselves be burdened again by a yoke of slavery." 
• Romans 6:14: "For sin shall no longer be your master, because you are not under the law, but under grace." 

Day 15: Peace and Justice
Prayer Focus: Intercede for God’s peace and justice to prevail in the world and in individual lives. 
Scriptures:

• Isaiah 1:17: "Learn to do right; seek justice. Defend the oppressed. Take up the cause of the fatherless; plead the case of the widow." 
• Micah 6:8: "He has shown you, O mortal, what is good. And what does the Lord require of you? To act justly and to love mercy and to walk humbly with your God." 

Day 16: Families, Singles, Widows, Parents, and Children
Prayer Focus: Pray for the strengthening of families, support for singles and widows, wisdom for parents, and blessings for children to grow in love, faith, and unity. 
Scriptures:

• Psalm 127:3-5: "Children are a heritage from the Lord, offspring a reward from him. Like arrows in the hands of a warrior are children born in one’s youth. Blessed is the man whose quiver is full of them." 
• Isaiah 54:5: "For your Maker is your husband—the Lord Almighty is his name—the Holy One of Israel is your Redeemer; he is called the God of all the earth." 

Day 17: Spiritual Warfare
Scriptures:

• Ephesians 6:12: "For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms." 
• 2 Corinthians 10:4: "The weapons we fight with are not the weapons of the world. On the contrary, they have divine power to demolish strongholds."

Day 18: Prayer for All Church Auxiliaries and Ministry Teams
Prayer Focus: Intercede for the spiritual strength, unity, and effectiveness of every ministry team and auxiliary in the church. Pray for Apostles, Prophets, Pastors, Evangelists, Teachers, Elders, Deacons and Deaconesses, Prayer Warriors and Intercessors. 
Scriptures:

• Ephesians 4:11-12: "So Christ himself gave the apostles, the prophets, the evangelists, the pastors and teachers, to equip his people for works of service, so that the body of Christ may be built up." 
• Romans 12:6-8: "We have different gifts, according to the grace given to each of us. If your gift is prophesying, then prophesy in accordance with your faith; if it is serving, then serve; if it is teaching, then teach; if it is to encourage, then give encouragement; if it is giving, then give generously; if it is to lead, do it diligently; if it is to show mercy, do it cheerfully." 

Day 19: Prayer for the Fatherless, Widows, Widowers, and Seniors
Prayer Focus: Pray for comfort, provision, and community for those who are fatherless, widowed, or in their senior years. Ask for God’s love to fill their hearts and for the church to be a source of support. 
Scriptures:

• Psalm 68:5: "A father to the fatherless, a defender of widows, is God in his holy dwelling." 
• Isaiah 46:4: "Even to your old age and gray hairs I am he, I am he who will sustain you. I have made you and I will carry you; I will sustain you and I will rescue you." 

Day 20: Prayer for Wisdom, Integrity, and Unity Among Government Leaders
Prayer Focus: Pray that God grants political leaders’ wisdom, discernment, and integrity as they serve their communities, ensuring justice, accountability, and unity in their decisions. Ask for protection over their families, a servant’s heart, and peace during transitions of power, while interceding for revival and salvation among those in authority.
Scriptures:

• Proverbs 21:1: "The king’s heart is a stream of water in the hand of the Lord; he turns it wherever he will." 
• 1 Timothy 2:1-2: "I urge, then, first of all, that petitions, prayers, intercession and thanksgiving be made for all people—for kings and all those in authority."

Day 21: Prayer for Kingdom Expansion and Community Impact
Prayer Focus: Pray that Liberty Temple Chicago will grow as a beacon of hope and light, expanding its reach to transform lives through the power of the Gospel. Ask for God’s guidance and provision as the church builds stronger communities, equips leaders, and impacts the community through outreach, discipleship, and service. Intercede for unity among members, spiritual revival, and the fulfillment of God’s vision for the church in 2025.
Scriptures:

• Matthew 5:14-16: "You are the light of the world. A town built on a hill cannot be hidden. Neither do people light a lamp and put it under a bowl. Instead, they put it on its stand, and it gives light to everyone in the house. In the same way, let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven." 
• Habakkuk 2:2-3: "Write down the revelation and make it plain on tablets so that a herald may run with it. For the revelation awaits an appointed time; it speaks of the end and will not prove false. Though it linger, wait for it; it will certainly come and will not delay."
